“The Wombat in the Room” is RSPCA’s 150th Anniversary Art Auction & exhibition – aim to raise awareness of animal cruelty and funds to help with their mission of animal care, protection, education and advocacy! My Wombat has been selected to be permanently displayed at RSPCA Melbourne’s HQ in Burwood East.
My inspiration for this piece was based on all the lovely animals I was fortunately get to meet and interact with in the past, rather it is at a farm or through my friends or the foster care system or my pet sitting experiences. Looking after and interacting with animals are rewarding experiences, because they often surprise you, make you smile and you learn how to respect other creatures, as well the unconditional love and loyalty.
